Adult Summer Camp - Level 3A
Level 3a riders—Intro to XC Jumping!
This 4-day intensive camp focuses on advancing jumping skills both in and out of the saddle. Riders will gain hands-on experience with advanced horsemanship and overall horse care skills.
Old Chatham Trail Ride
Escape to the rolling hills of Columbia County for a leisurely two-hour cross-country trail ride through some of the most beautiful hunt country in New York. Ride across scenic fields and quiet country lanes while experiencing the landscape that has been enjoyed by generations of foxhunters and equestrians.
Following the ride, gather with fellow riders for a relaxed tailgate with refreshments, the perfect way to unwind, share stories from the ride, and enjoy the company of the MRC community.
Whether you're looking to experience new trails, improve your confidence riding in open space, or simply spend a beautiful day on horseback, this is a memorable outing not to be missed.
BRLA Hack
Have you spent most of your riding career in an arena? Stepping out into open space can be one of the most exhilarating and rewarding experiences in riding.
This ride offers a rare opportunity to gallop across open fields and navigate cross-country terrain, all while immersed in the natural beauty of Bedford’s historic trail system. Riders will enjoy a mix of walk, trot, and canter over approximately 5 miles, with optional jumps including logs, coops, stone walls, roll tops, and more. All jumping is optional and can always be avoided.
Ride in a small group of up to 8 riders on horses that are experienced and conditioned for open space, foxhunting, and hunter paces.
Welwyn Farm Hunter/Jumper Show
The 2026 Welwyn Horse Show at Welwyn Farm (part of the Hudson Valley Hunter Jumper Association series) is scheduled for August 9, 2026.
$30 per class
Adult Summer Camp - Level 3A/3B
Level 3a/b riders— XC Jump intensive- focus on eventing and hunter pacing
Dive deep into XC Jumping and try a variety of obstacles in both hunter pace and eventing settings. Learn about setting yourself up for success to ride an XC course and more complicated jumps.
This camp focuses on advancing XC Jump to the next level. Riders will learn new skills both in and out of the saddle. Gain hands-on experience with advanced horsemanship and overall horse care skills.
Blue Wood Farm - Dressage Schooling Show
Join Galloping Guru and Blue Wood Farm & Vineyard, LLC in Millbrook, NY for a dressage schooling show suitable for horses and riders of all levels. Come practice your USEF/USDF USEA, WDAA, or FEI dressage tests in a great atmosphere with USDF "L" Judge Regina Cristo.
$35 per test + office fees.
Wethersfield Estate Hack
The ride begins at Wethersfield Estate, where riders will enjoy approximately 1.5–2 hours hacking across stunning cross-country terrain. Expect a mix of relaxed group riding and light schooling over a variety of XC obstacles, with guidance from your host throughout.
Wethersfield offers a wide range of jumps at varying heights and difficulties, making it an ideal setting to build confidence in open space.

GBH North Country Hunter Pace
Experience one of the most beautiful rides in the region! The GBH North Hunt Country features breathtaking views, well-maintained trails, and picturesque farmland just one hour from North Salem. Enjoy a welcoming course with inviting jumps, all equipped with optional go-arounds, making it a fun and confidence-building day for riders. A delicious lunch is included.
This event is open to Level 3A+ riders. To join us, book your spot through the Manhattan Riding Club Website. If you are new to Galloping Guru and would like to hire one of our horses, you'll need to complete an Evaluation Lesson before participating so we can ensure a safe and enjoyable match.
Windy Hollow Hunter Pace
Whether you're a veteran 'pacer' or new to the world of cross-country riding, you can come out and have fun with us at one of our hunter paces. Please watch our Hunter Pacing 101 Tutorial video.
WHH Hunter Paces are a great way to have weekend fun and enjoy the countryside with your family, friends and horses. Riders of all ages enjoy riding cross country in conditions similar to fox hunting in a safe, no-pressure environment. Joining our paces is also a great way to make new friends while sharing good food at our tailgate picnics customary after each pace. Bring your favorite dish or beverage to share!

Old Chatham Hunt Club Hunter Pace
“Whether you’re a fox hunter, trail rider, eventer, pleasure rider or seasoned “pacer”, we welcome everyone to come ride and enjoy the beautiful Hunt Country of Columbia County. Our pace runs through some of the prettiest vistas around! We offer a combination of rolling hills, wooden trails, farm land, picturesque barns, views of the Catskills Mountains, stream crossings and the opportunity to jump logs and coops. Rest assured all fences have go arounds and we offer quite a few baby logs for the newbies.”
Food available for purchase, provided by the NOSH FOOD TRUCK.
This event is open to Level 3A+ riders. To join us, book your spot through the Manhattan Riding Club Website. If you are new to Galloping Guru and would like to hire one of our horses, you'll need to complete an Evaluation Lesson before participating so we can ensure a safe and enjoyable match.
Lewisboro Hunter Pace
Join us for our annual Fall Country Pace and Luncheon at beautiful Ward Pound Ridge Reservation. Teams of 2 or 3 riders will go out beginning at 9:00 with ribbons awarded after luncheon and once all teams are back. This pace is suitable for varied riding speeds and experience levels. Four divisions: Hunt, Junior, Pleasure, and Western. Ride through fields and wooded trails. 20 + jumps, all with go arounds. Ribbons awarded through 10th place, plus prizes and an exciting raffle. Hot luncheon is included in your entry fee. This event is part of the Associated Pace Series — come ride, compete, and enjoy a community day on the trail.
Wethersfield Hunter Pace
All English and Western riders are welcome to join us for a hunt, hilltop, or untimed pleasure ride through 8.5 miles of gorgeous trails at Wethersfield Estate. There will be approximately 80 jumps, including many of our cross country schooling jumps (all jumps have go-arounds).
This event is rain or shine. Teams will go out on a first-come, first-served basis, there are no set start times. Teams can be of mixed disciplines and ages, but there must be no more than 3 riders per team.

Please join us for our Thanksgiving Hunter Pace on Sunday, November 22nd (rain date the following Saturday). The winners will be determined by the highest points accumulated across at least three of the Fall Windy Hollow Hunt & Quiet Creek Hunter Paces.
Adult Summer Camp - Level 2B
Level 2b & 3a riders—this is your opportunity to master your flat skills and begin intro to jumping!
Build confidence across a variety of horses in and out of the arena. Gain confidence on pole work and with terrain (uphills, downhills). Build the strength, foundation and skills to start jumping.
This camp focuses on advancing intermediate riding skills both in and out of the saddle. Riders will gain hands-on experience with horsemanship, including grooming, tacking, and overall horse care—building confidence and independence around horses.
MLC Farm - Schooling Show
Enjoy a stress free day of horse showing and help to raise funds for Equine Rescue Inc. Level 2b+ riders who have joined us for Bootcamps recently are invited to join for this exciting and fun show in Millbrook, NY.

These classes can evaluate and prepare you for hacks, hunter paces, and foxhunting. You will be riding with other MRC equestrians, building fitness and friendships for future outings. Each month there will be a specific focus topic for riders with education we will share out of the saddle as well. Classes will rotate from the outdoor ring, indoor arena, and the cross country field with hacks around the property.
We offer 2 Bootcamp levels on a bi-weekly basis. If it is your first time joining MRC, please start with Level 3 to be approved to join Level 4. If you are a current rider and have been approved to join previous Level 4 experiences you are welcome to book Level 4.
10:30AM- Riders arrive to groom and tack horses

Friday Night Ride
Friday night fun night 5 o’clock group lesson with Galloping Guru at Rounded Crest Farm.
90-minute lesson with a tailgate to follow. Mix it up with fun, games, and educational material. Try your hand at drill team, mounted games, trail riding xc jumping, dressage or show jumping. A different focus every Friday!!! If you can walk, trot canter then there will be something for you here!! Arrive at 4:30, tack up, and ride tons of fun in our enormous indoor, our giant outdoor, or our fabulous xc course or on our miles of trails. Something for everyone!! $150

Bedford Hack

This ride offers a rare opportunity to gallop across fields and jump over cross country obstacles. All jumps are optional and can be avoided. Immerse yourself in nature's true beauty on horses that are conditioned for the environment! Enjoy this ride with a group of up to 8 riders covering around 5 miles at the walk, trot and canter. The historic riding terrain includes water crossings, woodlands, open fields with logs, coops, stone walls, roll tops and more.

The horses are trailered from our training facility in Pawling. There are a variety of breeds with different personalities, trained for open space riding, foxhunting, hunter paces and used in our lessons. Mixed breeds from spirited thoroughbreds to quieter draft breeds.
Officially founded in 1920, the BRLA maintains more than 100 linear miles of historic trails which connect and extend throughout Bedford, Mount Kisco, Katonah, Bedford Hills, Bedford Corners and Pound Ridge. Members meandering the trails enjoy the beautiful flora, fauna and other natural wonders that make our community unique. This trail system is one of the largest remaining networks of private trails. The BRLA maintains and clears the trails year-round to ensure that they are preserved for future generations.
